Enhanced depth of focus intraocular lenses had been successfully introduced few years ago. This heterogenous class of intraocular lenses aims to correct presbyopia and provide a spectacle independence for daily activities over a wider range than classic monofocal intraocular lenses. LuxSmart (Bausch & Lomb) is a high-quality enhanced depth of focus intraocular lens. This single piece, acrylic hydrophobic and aspheric intraocular has a small central zone which combines 4^th and 6^th orders of spherical aberration of opposite signs to increase the subjective depth of focus and further improve intermediate vision while maintaining good performance at distance. This article presents preliminary clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction of LuxSmart™ intraocular lens.
